Liberty Community Church will hold its Christmas service and dinner at 4 p.m. Sunday on the church grounds. Everyone is invited to join in and bring a side dish.
The church also held a successful fundraiser for the local senior citizens group with Santa pictures over the weekend.
AG BOOSTERS—The Milano-Gause Ag Booster Club will hold its monthly meeting on Sunday at 5 p.m. in the Milano High School cafeteria.
MILANO 4-H—Milano 4-H Club’s December meeting and Christmas party is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday. This will also take place at the MHS cafeteria.
PARADE, MEAL—The City of Milano has scheduled its annual Christmas parade and community meal for Saturday, Dec. 14.
This year’s parade theme is “The Magic of Santa’s Workshop.”
Line-up will be at 9:30 a.m. at the Milano football field parking lot, judging will take place at 10 a.m. and the parade will kick off at 10:30 a.m.
Plaques will be awarded in each division and a special cash prize will be awarded to the “best overall” entry. Divisions for the parade are: floats, bicycles/walking/small animals, vehicles/tractors, small motorized/battery operated (golf carts, four-wheelers, lawn mowers, etc) and horses/wagons.
Following the parade, a free community meal will be served at the Milano Civic Center. Winners of the parade will be announced at the meal.
MVFD FUNDRAISER—The Milano Volunteer Fire Department has begun its yearly fundraiser. Tickets for the annual drawing are now on sale and are $5 each or five for $20.
Prizes include: two Henry Golden Boy 22 LR, two Taurus Public Defender .45/410, Remington 700, Marlin 336W 30-30, Remington 870 Shotgun, Ruger American Bolt Action 22 LR, Taurus 738 TCP 380 and $100 Academy gift card.
