Rockdale’s second annual Fall Music Fest felt like a Summer Fest.
The first-Saturday-in-October event missed the actual fall weather by a couple of days—high temperatures had dropped to the 70’s by that day—but still brought good crowds to downtown.
Music throughout the afternoon was capped by a night-time street dance featuring Brooke Graham.
More than a half dozen acts performed on a stage which spanned Main Street between Wolf Park and the I&GN Depot-Museum.
Wolf Park, and environs, was also the site of a chili cookoff, wiener dog races, arts and crafts, food, an auto show, the Rockdale ISD P-TO’s annual Fall Carnival and more.
Just up the street the Kay Theatre hosted the annual 5K Zombie and 1K Kids Runs (see page 2A) along with a pancake breakfast and square dancing.
