Thursday Reading Club members met in San Gabriel at the home of Carol Simank for their Oct. meeting. Members of the yearbook committee served as co-hostesses.

Barbara Nelson gave further details for the planned trip to the Dallas Arboretum on Dec. 5 to view the Christmas decorations and the special holiday plant designs. The club decided to hire a large bus for the trip so members can invite guests to make the trip.

A thank you note was read from the 2018-19 scholarship winner, Stephani Panteleon.

The program was given by Lucile Estell on “The Matriarch” biography of Barbara Bush and the “Making of an American Dynasty” written by Susan Page.
