RHS Class of 1966 sets reunion Oct. 6 at Kay
RHS Class of 1966 will hold its “50th-plus” reunion from 2 until 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6 at the historic Kay Theater, 152 N. Main Street in downtown Rockdale.
Jimmy Keen, spokesman, said the reunion will start with a meet-and-greet and a silent auction at 2 p.m., followed by fun, games, evening drinks (BOYB, setups will be provided) and dancing.

“The historic and beautifully restored Rainbow Courts is holding a block of rooms for class members,” Keen said. “Reserve ASAP by calling Rainbow, 512-446-2361.”

100th birthday event for Doug Smith set
here Saturday, Oct. 6
Former long-time Rock-dale resident Doug Smith will be honored with a 100th birthday party and lunch from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6 in the fellowship hall of St. John’s United Methodist Church, Summit at Hillcrest in Rockdale.
Hosts will be his daughters Carol Lynn Smith and Lynn Oldham.
“We hope his friends will be able to join us for this celebration,” they said. “His birthday is two days before the party, but we wanted this event to be held on Saturday.”
