At the Rockdale Independent School District Bands Spring Concert last month in the high school gym 12 students were honored for their work over the past school year.
The winners are McKade Casas, Outstanding Band Senior; Peyton Shuffield, Outstanding Band Junior; Alyssa Thompson, Outstanding Band Sophomore; and Isaac Juares, Outstanding Band Freshmen. The junior high winners are Luke Olivares, Outstanding Beginning Band Woodwind; Mariana Santellano, Outstanding Symphonic Band Woodwind; Jason Ponnaiya, Outstanding Symphonic Band Brass; Jasmine Lawhon, RJH Bandsmen Award; Rebekah Ammons, Outstanding Beginning Band Percussion; Kayla Ehler, Outstanding Symphonic Band Pecussion; Jameson Cox, Outstanding Beginning Band Brass; and Olivia Rubio, RJH Director's Award
