Two Christmas events are happening in our town on December 4.
Sponsored by the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce, breakfast with Santa runs from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Patterson Civic Center. Rockdale McDonald’s will be providing pancakes, milk and juice.
All children, parents and grandparents are invited to enjoy this event. There will also be craft activities for the kids.
Tickets are $5 per person and can be purchased at the Chamber office.
The Chamber is also lighting up the holidays by hosting a nighttime Christmas Parade which will be a little different this year due to the downtown construction.
The parade will start at 6 p.m. in the former Richards Memorial Hospital parking lot and this year’s theme is “Winter Wonderland.”
There are four categories in this year’s parade. The best float will be awarded the Presidential Award (Best presentation of the theme, idea, float shape, pulling vehicles and costumes), decorated vehicle or ATV division, religious display or float and best decorated over all.
Entry forms are available at the Chamber office or you can email info@rockdalechamber.com to get one.
