Rockdale Independent School District service awards

In addition to honoring those who have worked for the district over the years, the RISD administration recognized three teachers who are retiring after this school year. Lorrie Birkhead and Dawn Byrd combined have spent 64 years educating the youth of Texas and plan to spend their retirements relaxing and spending time with family, while continuing to support RISD. Lisa Flores was also honored but could not attend the ceremony.
