More than 40 worshipers from seven local congregations attended the annual World Day of Prayer Friday morning at First Presbyterian Church. The 2019 service was written by women of Slovenia. An offering of just under $500 was collected which is being sent to the World Day of Prayer committee for issues affecting women and children. Rev. David Wilman, the host pastor, (left) welcomed those in attendance and Rev. Royal Johnson (right) of Rising Star Baptist led the call to prayer. Women from six local congregations represented Slovenian women and a Slovenian-themed luncheon followed the service.
