Wednesday night COVID report

Today, we have 19 new cases to report and 28 cases were discharged, leaving 338 confirmed, active cases in Milam County.  Four individuals were hospitalized and four of the ten hospitalized are on ventilators.  No new deaths to report.

Milam County has 259 active, confirmed COVID cases

This evening we have 36 new cases to report and 28 cases to discharge leaving us with 259 active confirmed cases in the County.   Two individuals were hospitalized and one person was discharged.  Buckholts and Rockdale schools are closed until January 18, 2022.

No MLK Day Parade this year

According to Henry Miller, there will not be a Martin Luther King Day parade this year, however they will be having a balloon-release celebration at Sumuel Park  at 1 p.m.

Rockdale schools close until Tuesday, Jan. 18, due to COVID cases

Milam County records 92nd COVID death

Today we report our 92nd Milam County, COVID-19 death.  This person died several days ago and had very little in terms of an underlying health condition.  Please be careful!  We have 25 new cases to report with 94 cases to discharge, leaving us with 251 confirmed, active cases in Milam County.

Infusion Clinic News

We have been pleading with TDEM and the State to leave the infusion clinic in Rockdale.  We have a very central location for rural Central Texas and a great facility to house the clinic.  Last week, TDEM advised the clinic would end on December 31, 2021.

Ladies & Gentlemen:  Today we have 2 new cases to report and no cases were discharged, leaving us with 12 active, confirmed cases in our County.  We have no new hospital admissions and no new deaths.
