Milam County death toll rises to 76

Wednesday, October 6, 2021 COVID-19 Report for Milam County   Ladies & Gentlemen:   Today we report our 76th Milam County COVID-19 related death. We have reported 8 deaths in a little over two weeks. A vaccination will prevent one from becoming seriously ill or dying from the virus.

Milam County has 68th COVID death

Tonight, I regret to advise of our 68th COVID-19 related death. Sadly, I know there are more to come. None of those who died have been fully vaccinated. Please encourage vaccinations. We also have 18 new cases to report and five individuals were hospitalized.

Disruption of Service for Fire Hydrant Removal

Due to fire hydrant removal, customers from East Cameron Avenue to East Belton (between Pear and Houston) may have low to no pressure on Monday from 9 a.m. until approximately 6 p.m.

Twenty new COVID cases reported today

From Milan County Judge Steve Young Ladies & Gentlemen: We have 20 new cases to report today.  Our total number of active cases drops a little to 269 confirmed active cases.  There are 21 individuals hospitalized and 11 of those are on ventilators.

Another record set for COVID cases in Milam County

From Milam County Judge Steve Young Ladies & Gentlemen:    Today we report 12 new confirmed cases and 4 discharged cases, bringing the total active confirmed cases in the County to 277.  This is eight more than we reported just yesterday.  One individual was hospitalized and 4 were discharged.

Milam County COVID cases are at an all time high

From County Judge Steve Young: Ladies & Gentlemen: Our COVID numbers are at an all time high of 269 active confirmed cases in Milam County.  This is a 55% increase over our first wave record high of 173 active cases.

July 4th parade

The city of Milano has announced its annual Independence Day parade will take place this year. However, the event will take place on Saturday, July 3. The parade will start at 10:30 a.m. in the football field parking lot.
