Over the years, there has been interest in adding art murals to some of our downtown and community walls. Various individuals and entities have explored this idea, and in 2021, it looks like it is going to happen.

Are any of you thinking of retiring to a different country? My sister-in-law, Noelia, and I have discussed retiring in Mexico. That won’t happen for a while, of course, but it’s fun researching different places to live.

When we found out the weather was going to be very cold Mom decided we should make short ribs for one of our meals. I have eaten them before but never made them. We used a different recipe but this one sounds good.

Milano VFD chili supper to be held Saturday Milano Volunteer Fire Department will hold their annual chili supper Saturday, starting at 4:30 p.m. Dinners include chili, beans and all the fixings including tea and dessert. There will also be an online auction and a gun drawing.

Hope you had a nice Valentine’s Day. If you got out on Sunday, it must have been an emergency! Our family lost a muchloved person over the weekend—Wayne’s aunt, Martha Newman, who lived in Milano. She was 97 years young.

An amazing amount of people, companies and charity groups got together to raise money for the Sandoval family last weekend and the results were spectacular. The fish fry at Brett’s Backyard BBQ raised over $15,000.
