Early voting update in Milam County

NOTE: This is an update to last week’s article. The Presidential Election is here with early voting having started last Monday, Oct. 21, and will continue until Nov. 1 with Election Day being Nov. 5.

Dear editor, This is written for all the handicapped cars parked in the handicapped places at the Rockdale Fair and Rodeo on Friday, Oct. 18. I parked in one of the handicapped spaces with a handicap sign in front of our car.

A prediction for laughs or applause

I’m going out on a limb with my presidential election prediction. I think the polls are wrong again and it’s not going to be close. There, I’ve said it. So you can either laugh at me on election day or say, “He must be a psychic or something!” Or something.

100 YEARS AGO… Dur to the personal effort of Alderman Branch Lewis and football fan N.M. Bullock, the members of the Rockdale and Rogers High School football teams were tendered an oyster supper last Friday evening following the game between the two teams on the local grid.
