Christmas at the Kay Sunday This annual musical event is sponsored by the Communities in Concert Band and the Matinee Musical Club and will be held on Sunday, December 1 at 2 p.m. The Rising Star Baptist Church Choir will be featured, and admission is free.

Breakfast with Santa— The Rockdale Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual Breakfast with Santa on Dec. 7 from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Patterson Center. Attendees will enjoy a pancake breakfast as well as lots of children’s activities and, of course, meeting Santa. Tickets are $5.

TM Naturalists classes to begin in January

Texas Master Naturalist Courses begin on January 16 from 6 to 9 p.m. in Cameron. “If you are passionate about native Texas plants and animals you are welcome to joins us,” said organizer Linda Burgess.

Tree lighting a big success Thursday

The Rockdale Downtown Association had its largest and most successful Christmas Tree Lighting on Thursday night at Wolf Park.

National Child Safety event at Walmart

With November being National Child Safety and Protection Month, CASA of Milam County is partnering with Rockdale Police Department and Rockdale Walmart from 8 a.m. to noon offering free child identification kits that include a DNA swab, fingerprint card, emergency card and a photo of the children.
