Milano to celebrate First Responders Day at game

Oct. 28 is national First Responders Day. Milano ISD is inviting any local first responders and those from our opponent’s area to enjoy free admittance to the Oct. 25 varsity football game. Please know that we admire your willingness to serve and appreciate all that you do.

Jail log lists all people charged with offenses through the county jail in Cameron. Charges may change during the process. Persons are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. • Chandra Earlene Bivens, 60, Thorndale, possession of a controlled substance (4 to 400 grams), released.

Rockdale PD makes two felony arrests, responds to four traffic accidents

Rockdale Police Officers made two felony arrests during the past week including: • Isaac Thomas Bakken, 18, Cameron, was arrested by Ofc. Wall for possession of a controlled substance (under 1 gram) and tampering/ fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair.

FIRE CALLS

Responded to: • CR 320 for a report of smoke, a small fire was located and extinguished on Oct. 15 at 7:42 p.m. • 411 Texas St. for carbon monoxide detector alarm on Oct. 15 at 9:30 p.m. • Near the intersection of FM 487 at CR 303 for a burn ban violation on Oct. 19 at 3:22 p.m.
