HOLY WEEK LUNCHEONS— The Rockdale Ministerial Alliance organized community luncheons during Holy Week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday before Easter. Peace Lutheran Church hosted the luncheons and reported great participation from area churches, including Rising Star Baptist, St. Thomas Episcopal, First Christian, St. John’s United Methodist, First Presbyterian and St Joseph Catholic by provision of food, music and sermon messages. Between 45 and 50 people from the area attended each day.

Rockdale Independent School District proudly honored its 2026 Distinguished Alumni during the district’s fourth induction ceremony held Friday, April 10. The evening brought together alumni, family and community members for a celebration filled with connection, reflection and shared memories.

Early voting for city council, school board begins April 20

RISD school board and Rockdale city council races are set for voting on Thursday, May 2. Election day voting on May 2 will have extended hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Early voting at Rockdale City Hall Council Chamber are April 20 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.m April 22-24 hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
