Tesla leasing 183K SF building in Taylor

Tesla is growing its footprint in Texas even further with the electric vehicle maker reportedly leasing a 183,000-square-foot (a little over four acres) rail served building in Taylor’s RCR Logistics Park according to the Austin Business Journal.

Cefco stores to become Casey’s in $1.15-billion purchase

Casey’s General Stores, based in Ankeny, IA, agreed to acquire Cefco Convenience Stores owner Fikes Wholesale in an all-cash deal worth about $1.15 billion including the Rockdale location.

Burleson, Milam Groundwater Summit draws 150 to Caldwell

The Burleson and Milam County Annual Groundwater Summit, held on July 18 in Caldwell gathered community members, staff a nd experts to discuss key groundwater management challenges and impacts on the district.

School supply drive on Monday Murray Street Church of Christ will hold its annual School Supply Drive on Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Church Annex. Students who need assistance with obtaining their school supplies are encouraged to attend.

First Baptist Church to celebrate 150 years The Sesquicentennial isn’t over yet. On Sunday, Sept. 22, First Baptist Church will celebrate 150 years of faithful Christian service and ministry with a 10:30 a.m. service and a 3 p.m. service. Former pastors, staff and members will be in attendance.

ORGANIZATIONS

Rockdale Rotary Club meets the first, third and fourth Tuesdays of each month at the Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department from noon to 1 p.m. Lunch is provided. Rockdale Noon Lions Club also meets at RVFD on the first and third Wednesday of each month with lunch provided.

Easy no-bake desserts

How about a no-bake fruit dessert? This one sounds good to me with strawberries, but you could also use other berries. Can you use Cool Whip instead of making your own whipped cream? Yes, but it won’t be as good.
