Alcoa retirees meet June 13 Rockdale Alcoa retirees will meet on Thursday, June 13, at the Thorndale Veteran’s Memorial Hall. Doors open at 5 p.m. with a business meeting beginning at 5:45 p.m. Meals will be $15 and the dessert group is last names M-Z.

MHS seniors graduate

The Milano 2024 seniors have graduated and are ready to begin the next stage of their lives. I wish them all the best and pray that they accomplish all of their goals. SUMMER— Find something fun to do with your kids this summer. May I recommend day trips.

ORGANIZATIONS

There’s a new shop in town at Street Ministries at 225 N. Main St. The shop is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and sells a variety of Christian- themed merchandise.

GAUSE NEWS

Gause Volunteer Fire Department had a fishing tournament on Saturday. Butch Ditto’s grandson was a winner. (Sorry, but I do not know his name.) Gause ISD has let out for the summer. Summer hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday- Thursday. We hope all students have a great summer.

Rockdale PD makes five felony arrests during past week

Rockdale Police Officers made five felony arrests during the past week including: • Trevor Wells, 28, Rockdale, was arrested by Ofc. Wall for possession of a controlled substance (4 to 200 grams). • Sandie-Ann Wilson, 39, Rockdale, was arrested by Ofc.

Responded to: • The 500 block of Bowser along with Oncor for a tree on fire from a wire on May 14 at 9:24 a.m. • US 79 at CR 434 Loop for a one vehicle accident on May 16 at 4:36 p.m. Gause VFD Responded to: • East FM 485 at CR 263 Loop for a one vehicle accident on May 14 at 9:48 p.m.

Jail log lists all people charged with offenses through the county jail in Cameron. Charges may change during the process. Persons are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. • Elicio Espinoza, 24, Rockdale, three counts indecent exposure, in custody.
