POSGCD to hold hearing

Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District (POSGCD) will hold a public hearing for the adoption of its 2024 budget, production fees, transportation fees and fee schedules at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at the office in Milano. The current production fee is $0.

ORGANIZATIONS

Rockdale Rotary Club meets the first, third and fourth Tuesdays of each month at the Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department from noon to 1 p.m. Lunch is provided. Rockdale Noon Lion’s Club also meets at RVFD on the first and third Wednesday of each month with lunch provided.

This time of year is great for not knowing what the weather will be. We watch the Weather Channel and local TV stations to see what they say. Monday in Gause is dreary and no sunshine this morning. There are so many things people need fixed in their lives the weather is their least worry.

When someone violates their probation

I’ve written before about the two different types of probation in Texas – regular and deferred. In this article, I’ll discuss what happens if someone violates a condition of their probation. While someone is on probation – they usually have a lot of conditions attached to it.

One arrested on felony warrant

Rockdale Police Officers made one felony arrest during the past week: • A 15-year-old juvenile from Rockdale was arrested for unauthorized use of motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram) and evading arrest detention with vehicle.

Rockdale VFD Responded to: • Bell at Scarbrough for a lift assist on Tuesday. • North US 77 at Northwood Circle for traffic control for a car accident on Thursday. • 734 Scarbrough for a lift assist on Saturday. Thorndale VFD Responded to: • FM 1331 at FM 486 for a small fire in a ditch on Saturday.
