Train museum meeting Thursday The Rockdale Train Depot Museum will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 19) at the Rockdale Depot. Meeting topics will be working on a budget and discussion of hiring a depot director.

Post Oak Savannah GCD re-elects officers

The board of directors of the Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District voted unanimously to re-elect the current slate of officers at their meeting on Jan. 10. Ward Roddam will continue as president, Jay Wilder as vice-president and Tommy Tietjen as secretary/ treasurer.

College fair coming to RHS Feb. 15

On Feb. 15 the Rockdale Tiger gym will be transformed into a college fair for the day. Several colleges, trade schools, and military representatives will be at Rockdale High School to meet with students from Milano, Rockdale and Thorndale High Schools.

New Milano CEFCO opens

The new CEFCO is open in Milano! It is nice to have it back and the community is very happy. SOFTBALL— Milano girls that want to play softball can sign up Saturday, Jan. 21 in Rockdale at the fields from 10-1. Please see Amanda Keen at the high school for a form.

MILAM COUNTY JAIL LOG

Jail log lists all people charged with offenses through the county jail in Cameron. Charges may change during the process. Persons are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.

Rockdale PD makes three felony arrests in seven-day period

Rockdale Police Officers made three felony arrests during the past week including: • Matthew Thomas Pape, 30, Rockdale, was arrested on Wednesday by Ofc. Wachtel on a Pardon and Parole warrant for parole violation of having a prohibited substance or item in a correctional facility.

FIRE CALLS

Rockdale VFD Responded to: • 113 Champions Drive for report of a fire. There was no fire, but the heating unit had filled the house with smoke. • 4987 North US 77 for a field fire. • US 77 three miles south of Rockdale for a small grass fire. • Yeagua Creek between CR 314 and 315 for a grass fire.
