For the Bible tells me so

Only a month before, we had new carpet laid in the house. Already it had been stained and needed repair. We called the floor man who had installed it and he agreed to come and replace the small portion of stained carpet.

Murray Street to hold VBS July 11th-14th Murray Street Church of Christ will hold their Bible school July 11-14 from 6 to 8 p.m. One the last night they will host a “Family Water Night” with a water slide and bounce house. There will be a meal each night at 5:15 p.m. before bible school starts.

ORGANIZATIONS

Farmers’ market, garage sale in Davilla Upcoming events at the Davilla Community Center are a farmers’ market and garage sale on Saturday July 16 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A potluck dinner and game night will be held at 6 p.m. on Aug. 6.

Squash casserole, Caesar salad

Got some squash you need to use up? If you don’t now, you will shortly. Here’s a good squash casserole recipe and can be prepared in advance and refrigerated until you’re ready to bake it. Also freezes well.

Caffey Reunion July 16 at Patterson Center The Sanford and Lucy Caffey family reunion for friends and relatives will be held at Patterson Center adjacent to Fair Park on Saturday, July 16 beginning at 10 a.m. A pot luck lunch will be served at noon with drinks, plates and utensils furnished.

Rockdale PD makes two felony arrests over past week

Rockdale Police Officers made two felony arrests during the past week including: • Randy Scott Whittle, 58, Rockdale, was arrested on Wednesday by Ofc. Parker and Ofc. Lentz for possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram). • Demarcus Tindle, 34, Rockdale, was arrested on Saturday by Ofc.
