Farmers’ market, garage sale in Davilla Upcoming events at the Davilla Community Center are a farmers’ market and garage sale on Saturday, July 16 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A potluck dinner and game night will be held at 6 p.m. on Aug. 6.

REUNIONS

Caffey Reunion July 16 at Patterson Center The Sanford and Lucy Caffey family reunion for friends and relatives will be held at Patterson Center adjacent to Fair Park on Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m. A pot luck lunch will be served at noon with drinks, plates and utensils furnished.

This week the Simpson twins are in Colorado at church camp. No cell phones for nine days. I know they will survive, but the looks on the faces of all those teens as they boarded the bus can only be described as high anxiety. Conversation is a lost art.

GAUSE NEWS

Our first phone call Monday morning was someone calling about the mortgage on our home. For certain he didn’t know what age person he was calling! The fact is I have a birthday on the 18th of this month and I was born in 1941. Started our day with a laugh.
