Ag ID teams perform well at Heart of Texas and State Fair of Texas

The Milam County 4-H Ag Product ID Teams competed on Saturday, Oct. 9 at the Heart of Texas Fair & Rodeo in Waco and on Monday, Oct. 11, at the State Fair of Texas. They walked away with many honors and awards for their hard work and studying.

RPD made four felony arrests

The Rockdale Police Department made four felony arrests during the past week. Officer Ford arrested Andre Lamario Walker, 37, Rockdale, for a warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

MILAM COUNTY JAIL LOG

Jail log lists all people charged with offenses through the county jail in Cameron. Charges may change during the process. Persons are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.

FIRE CALLS

Rockdale VFD responded to: • 365 FM 1786 for a one vehicle accident with injuries. • 5337 East US 79 along with the Milano VFD, the Milam County Sheriff’s Department, AMR and PHI for a major accident. • 279 South FM 908 for roof on fire.

Green Street to close for repairs

Green Street between Cameron & Bell and Burleson Street between Cameron & Milam will be closed to thru traffic on Monday-Wednesday, Oct 25-27, 2021 for water line maintenance.

Milam County COVID-19 death toll reaches 82

Ladies & Gentlemen:  This evening we report our third COVID-19 death this week.  This brings the death toll in Milam County to 82.  Please encourage vaccinations.  Our case count is down to 16 active cases in the County, with only 2 new cases to report today.
