The Rockdale Municipal Development District board of directors will hold a special meeting Thursday to discuss plans to hire an executive director.

A 20-year-old Round Rock man was arrested June 1 at 11:39 p.m. for possession of controlled substance. A 32-year-old Rockdale resident was arrested Monday at 7:45 p.m. for bail jumping and failure to appear and possession of a controlled substance (less than one gram).

• Tuesday, 5:20 p.m. Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department responded to a field at Baxter and Upton for a city ordinance violation, subject burning tires within the city limits of Rockdale. • Thursday, 8:25 a.m. Rockdale VFD responded a US 77 South at CR 322 for a transformer that blew.
