Water-line replacement will disruption service

  Rockdale city workers will replace a water line with the work scheduled to begin Thursday morning. Customers on the east side between Williams Avenue and Hunters Chase Apartments may have low to no pressure Thursday 8 p.m until approximately 8 a.m. on Friday.

COVID-19 clinic will accept walk-ins Friday

This week the county will administer about 300 second-round shots in Rockdale on Wednesday, about 300 second-round shots Thursday, in partnership with the military friends and there will be a large first-round clinic in Rockdale on Friday. Walk-ins may come to the Friday clinic.

County to start giving shots to 16-year-olds

Court hears about money, grants from the rescue act

Milam County Judge Steve Young told commissioners about the The American Rescue Plan Act at the Monday court meeting in the courthouse. Because of the Biden administration’s plan, the county will have $2.4 million coming to it probably this month and another $2.4 million early next year.
