Arbranae Sessoms earned dean’s honor status at Prairie View A&M University which is for students with GPAs of 3.0 to 4.49. Sessoms graduated from Rockdale High School where she was on the track team. She hopes to become a lawyer.

The ninth annual Hope Night, a fundraiser for the Place of Hope, will be Friday at the Milam County Cowboy Church at 2100 US 77 in Rockdale. A dinner will be served and tickets are $25.
