BIG FIRE

Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department responded to a house fire on Texas Street last Wednesday with the fire starting in the rear of the house. St. Paul blood drive set for September 20th

S t . Paul Lutheran Church and School in Thorndale will hold a blood drive on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All donors will receive a voucher for one free barbecue sandwich from Thorndale Meat Market as well as a limited edition “We Are Blood” t-shirt.

Rockdale Police Officers made one felony arrest during the past week: • Jose David Contes, 58, Rockdale, was arrested by Ofc. Jacobs for theft of property ($2,500 to $30,000). Accidents • Ofc. Lentz responded to US 79 at US 77 for a two-vehicle accident on Aug. 27 at 6:16 a.m. • Ofc.
