Seniors to embark on trip

The graduating class is about to embark upon Senior Trip. A long held tradition at the high school. Small, rural schools, like Milano, have lots of traditions. When our state legislators talk about consolidating these schools, it baffles me. Of course, lawmakers do many bewildering things.

62nd Appelt Family Reunion set for June 7 The Appelt Family will be celebrating its 62nd reunion on Sunday, June 7, at Appelt’s Hill Hall in Hallettsville. Registration begins at 10 a.m. The reunion will provide a meal of stew, sausage and sides at noon along with cold drinks.
