GARDEN TOUR— Rockdale Earth Day’s Saturday Home Garden Tour showcased three properties — 417 E. Bell Ave., 437 San Gabriel St. and 2105 Sager. Attendees enjoyed seeing the gardens and refreshments at each location. The tour raised $460 and all proceeds went to the Rockdale ISD Education Foundation. SENIOR SIGNING DAY— All Rockdale High School seniors were recognized on Friday at the annual Signing Day ceremony. Each student was acknowledged for their after-high-school plans whether it was going into the work force, going into the military or heading off to college.

PARTY TIME— The MARC consumers enjoyed a Cinco de Mayo party last week at the center. MARC board member Daniel Willie grilled beef and chicken fajitas, Corona’s Mexican Restaurant provided rice and beans and Maricela’s Bar & Grill provided tortillas. The consumers played Loteria (Mexican bingo) for prizes and had a piñata. Dessert was Mexican ice cream pops.
