Rockdale man dead after shooting

A Rockdale man is dead after being shot on Thursday night.
The Rockdale Police Department responded to an apartment complex on US 79 next to the Piano Bar at about 10:15 p.m. Jeffrey McKinney, 30, Rockdale, suffered a gunshot wound to his upper torso. Despite police and EMS efforts, McKinney was pronounced dead at 11:15 p.m.
