Under the direction of Bill Torrey, the Milam County District Attorney, the following felony cases were recently resolved in Judge John W. Youngblood’s 20th Judicial District Court:

 JOEL DELANE PAGE, II, 29, of Rockdale, was sentenced to twelve (12) years confinement in TDCJ pleading guilty to a 2nd Degree Felony, Evading Arrest with Vehicle – Enhanced and was sentenced to twelve (12) years confinement in TDCJ after pleading guilty to a 2nd Degree Felony, Criminal Mischief ATM – Enhanced

 

JONATHAN WAYNE BABB, 41, of Austin, was sentenced to eighteen (18) months confinement in the State Jail Division of TDCJ after pleading “True” to a Motion to Revoke Probation for an original State Jail Felony, Criminal Mischief $2,500 - $30k

 

JOSE SALOMON, 37, of Cameron, was sentenced to ten (10) years confinement in TDCJ after pleading guilty to a 2nd Degree Felony, Possession of Controlled Substance 4-200 Grams

 

ASHLEY NICOLE SERVANTEZ, 31, of Rockdale, was sentenced to two (2) years confinement in TDCJ after pleading “True” to a Motion to Revoke Probation for an original 3rd Degree Felony, Possession of Controlled Substance More than 28 Grams but Less than 200 Grams

 

ANTHONY NAVARRO, 31, of Rockdale, was sentenced to three (3) years confinement in TDCJ after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, Evading Arrest with Motor Vehicle

 

KERRY JOE HARRIS, 41, of Lufkin, was placed on two (2) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation and was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine after pleading guilty to a Lesser Included Class A Misdemeanor, Evading Arrest

 

BRANDI ELAINE DYER, 33, of Rockdale, was placed on two (2) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation including the successful completion of Substance Abuse Program and was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and $180 restitution to the DPS lab after pleading guilty to a State Jail Felony, Possession of Controlled Substance Less than one Gram

 

GOEVANNY DAVID CONTES, 35, of Rockdale, was placed on one (1) year Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation including the successful completion of Advanced Anger Management and was ordered to pay $1,300 restitution to the victim after pleading guilty to a Lesser Included Class A Misdemeanor, Assault Causes Bodily Injury – Family Violence

 

LEANN SUE CASE, 32, of Rockdale, was sentenced to two (2) years confinement in the State Jail Division of TDCJ, probated for three (3) years with standard conditions of probation and was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and $360 restitution to the DPS lab after pleading guilty to a State Jail Felony, Possession of Controlled Substance Less than One Gram

 

BOBBY RAY LAVAN, 67, of Cameron, was sentenced to two (2) years in the State Jail Division of TDCJ, probated for twelve (12) months with standard conditions of probation and was ordered to pay a $100 fine and $65 restitution to the victim after pleading guilty to a State Jail Felony, Theft of Less than $2,500 with Priors

 

JACOB ALLEN CHRISTIAN, 32, of Cameron, was placed on five (5) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation and was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine and $5,699.50 to the victim after pleading guilty to a State Jail Felony, Criminal Mischief – Fence Tampering

 

VICTOR HUGO DIAZ, 22, of El Paso, was placed on five (5) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation and was ordered to pay a $5,000 fine and $12,500 restitution to the victim after pleading guilty to a State Jail Felony, Theft of Materials

 

EDWARD JAMES CASTILLO, 33, of Taylor, was sentenced to ten (10) years confinement in TDCJ, probated for five (5) years with standard conditions of probation and was ordered to pay $3,375.28 restitution to the victim after pleading guilty to a 2nd Degree Felony, Burglary of Habitation

 

THOMAS WAYNE ROGERS, 40, of Rockdale, was placed on three (3) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation including the successful completion of advance anger management and was ordered to pay $3,850 restitution to the victim after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, Stalking

 

ADELAIDE GAIL YANES, 43, of Rockdale, was sentenced to three (3) years confinement in TDCJ, probated for three (3) years with standard conditions of repeat DWI probation and was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine and $116.95 restitution after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More

 

MICHAEL SHANE BENTON, 50, of Cameron, was sentenced to one hundred sixty-nine (169) days confinement in the Milam County Jail after pleading guilty to a Lesser Included Class B Misdemeanor, Possession of Marijuana

 

MIGUEL ANGEL LACHAPELLE, 24, of Bronx, New York, was placed on five (5) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation and was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine after pleading guilty a 2nd Degree Felony, Fraudulent Possession of Identifying Information

 

DEBRA ANN CANADY, 37, of Temple, was sentenced to six (6) years confinement in TDCJ, probated for three (3) years with standard conditions of probation and was ordered to pay $180 restitution to the DPS after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, Lesser Included Possession of Controlled Substance 1-4 Grams

 

KYLE JEFFERSON BARTZ, 37, of Cameron, was placed on two (2) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation, including the successful completion of SAFP and no contact with the victim and was ordered to pay a $1,500 fine after pleading guilty to a 2nd Degree Felony, Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury

 

HENRY NEBIL MENDEZ-GARCIA, 23, of Temple, was placed on five (5) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation an was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, Tampering with Evidence

 

AMANDA RENEE VARGAS, 44, of Rosebud, was placed on three (3) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation and was ordered to pay a $1,500 fine and $180 restitution to the DPS lab after pleading guilty to a State Jail Felony, Possession of Controlled Substance Less than One Gram

 

MICHAEL ANGELO GONZALEZ, 32, of Cameron, was sentenced to ten (10) years confinement in TDCJ, probated for three (3) years with standard conditions of probation including the successful completion of Advanced Anger Management and was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Violence with Previous Conviction

 

JAMAR DERRELL HOPKINS, 27, of Rockdale, was sentenced to one hundred eighty (180) days confinement in the State Jail Division of TDCJ after pleading guilty to a State Jail Felony, Possession of Marijuana 4oz to 5 pounds

 

CARL JOHN GARNSEY, 46, of Justin, TX, was sentenced to one hundred eighty (180) days confinement in the State Jail Division of TDCJ and was ordered to pay a $2,4500.00 fine after pleading “True” to a Motion to Revoke Probation for an original State Jail Felony, Possession of Controlled Substance Less than One Gram

 

CARL ALAN GROENDES, 36, of Rockdale, was sentenced to fifteen (15) months confinement in the State Jail Division of TDCJ and was ordered to pay a $2,407 fine and $80 restitution to the DPS lab after pleading “True” to a Motion to Revoke Probation for an original State Jail Felony, Possession of Controlled Substance Less than One Gram

 

CHRISTOPHER REY MORENO, 27, of Rockdale, was sentenced to nine (9) months confinement in the State Jail Division of TDCJ and was ordered to pay $180.00 restitution to the DPS lab after pleading guilty to a State Jail Felony, Possession of Controlled Substance Less than One Gram

 

KIKI ALI CASHAW, 39, of Rockdale, was sentenced to eighteen (18) months confinement in the State Jail Division of TDCJ one each case after pleading guilty to four separate counts of State Jail Felony, Possession of Controlled Substance Less than One Gram
