Thanks for help with annual Easter Egg hunt
Dear editor,
We had a great Easter Egg Hunt Friday with face painting, Easter buckets, hot dogs, water, and lots and lots of eggs.
The Easter Bunny and Lucky Dog came riding in on a fire truck.
The kids were biting at the bit to hunt those eggs. It is amazing the amount of candy and preparation that went into two minutes of fun for the kids.
It took so many people to make this event a success for the kids. Thanks to:
• All who donated candy.
• The Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department.
• The Police Department for donating the caution tape to mark off the egg hunting areas
• Rockdale ISD iTigers for the Easter Buckets and face painting
• Renaissance Villa for donating hot dogs and being there to hand them out.
• Kindred Hospice for donating bottled water and being there to hand it out.
• Our Easter Bunny and Lucky Dog from Aaron’s.
• The City of Rockdale for use of Fair Park
Special thanks to all the Chamber Ambassadors who helped fill the eggs.
If my calculations are anywhere close to right, we had over 2500 eggs. Lots of people put in a lot of volunteer hours filling those eggs.
Also, special Thanks to all the Ambassadors and Chamber Directors who showed up Thursday to stake out the park and who helped at the hunt on Friday.
