Milam Community Theater w ill br ing Charles Schulz’s beloved comic to life this summer with Clark Gesner’s classic musical, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.”

The musical will be on stage at the Williams Event Center in Cameron July 27, 28, and Aug. 3 and 4, with additional shows at the Kay Theater in Rockdale, Aug. 10 and 11.

The whole gang is here: bossy Lucy is hopelessly in love with piano prodigy Schroeder who doesn’t give her the time of day; perfectionist Sally is still mocking blanket-toting Linus; Snoopy is in the doghouse, and “blockhead,” himself, Charlie B rown, i s i n r are form.

The cast includes Brian Luck as Charlie Brown, Ryan H eller a s S noopy, Seth Tyson as Linus, Myra Hall as Lucy, Noah Bradley as Schroeder and Breanna Ameigh as Sally. Victoria Everett, Mona Butala and Cheryl Heller fill out the chorus. Val Gameiro directs.

Br ief v ignet tes span the months from Valentine’s Day to Beethoven Day, from wild optimism to utter despair. Whether you’re keen to fly with the Red Baron, moon over the Moonlight Sonata, or just do your best to find “Happiness,” You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown is a crowd-pleasing classic.

This production replaces “The Fantasticks,” which MCT had originally scheduled. Licensing restrictions prevent MCT from producing the show this summer.
