Four-year-old Aaron Hughes was pretty sure he couldn’t make the handcar go, but he gave it a pretty good try Thursday as the City Library’s Summer Reading Program concluded with an open house at the I&GN Depot-Museum. Scores of children toured the 100-year-old-plus facilities, which included a big red caboose (above) and an air-conditioned dining car during the ceremony, which also included a luncheon.
