FRISCO—Dr. Alicia (Williams) Huppe, originally from Rockdale, has been appointed Dean of Student and Enrollment Services of the Collin College Preston Ridge Campus in Frisco.

Dr. Huppe was salutatorian of the 1993 graduating class at Rockdale High School.

She is the daughter of Doug and Bea Williams of Rockdale. Grandparents are Clem and Martha Tomek of Cameron and Virginia Williams of Temple.

Dr. Huppe will provide administrative oversight for the student service areas at the Frisco campus, will lead the career center for the district’s continuing education division, and will provide business and community outreach.

Dr. Huppe has been employed with Collin College since 2002.

During spring Dr. Huppe was awarded the John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Award from the League for Innovation in the Community College.

The award recognizes outstanding leaders in the community college profession and recently honored recipients with a medallion.

“Having two centenarian great-grandparents who inspired my pursuit of education, it was an honor to receive the Roueche Excellence Award,” Dr. Huppe said. “Each day, I am encouraged by the success and aspirations of our students and my Collin College teammates who continually strive for excellence. I am fortunate to have an amazing network of colleagues and family. Together we are creating opportunities for the future.”

Dr. Huppe holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of North Texas, a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from the University of North Texas, and a B.A. in Sociology from Texas A&M.
