Campus and District Educational Councils serve as advisory groups to the principals and Superintendent but have no regulatory powers.

SEPTEMBER’S YARD OF THE MONTH— John and Stacey Williams, 1904 Skyles Road, were awarded Rockdale Earth Day’s Yard of the Month for September. Rockdale Earth Day Chairperson David Melton said, “Their neatly manicured lawn has several large, beautiful shade trees, blooming Crape Myrtle trees, and a variety of annuals, perennials and shrubs creating wonderful curb appeal for this westside address.” The Williams will receive a gift certificate to Giddings Nursery and Garden Center.
