Kay Frances Taylor, age 73, of Rockdale passed away peacefully on Aug. 15, 2025.

Bor n on June 26, 1952, to Emmett James a nd Mattie Pearl McBride, Kay lived a li fe f i l led with compassion, strength, and unwavering faith.

She is lovingly remembered by her two sons, Scott Taylor and Bennie Taylor Jr.; her cherished grandchildren, four devoted siblings, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.

Kay’s radiant spi r it touched all who knew her and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to shine in the hearts of many.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at New Jerusalem Interdenominational Church, 103 Mulberry St., in Rockdale.

Her favorite song, “The Center of My Joy” by Richard Smallwood, will be played in tribute to the joy and light she brought into the world.

The service will also reflect on Psalm 91:1: “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

Kay Taylor will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the grace, warmth, and unwavering love she shared with everyone around her.
