The annual Milano ISD scholarship golf tournament will be held Saturday, April 21, at the Rockdale Country Club. Cost is $75 per player and is a four-person scramble event. The tournament will begin at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start.

Prizes will be handed out for first through third place teams, longest drive, closest to the pin and hole-in-one. All net proceeds will fund scholarships for graduating Milano students. For more information, contact Milano ISD, 512-455-2533, golf@milanoisd.net or visit www.milanoisd.net.

BLOOD DRIVE—

There will be an American Red Cross blood drive on April 25 at Milano High School. Donations will be taken from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call the school’s front office (512-455-9333) for more information or visit www.redcrossblood.organd use the sponsor code “milanoisd” to schedule an appointment.

ONE ACT PLAY—Milano High School’s One Act Play cast and crew competed with its production of “The Diviners” at the Class 2A Region IV contest on Friday at Veterans Memorial High School in Corpus Christi.

Although the group did not advance on to the state meet, they did earn some awards. Amanda Storey was named to the all-star cast, with Kaleb Dodd and Kyle King earning honorable mention all-star cast. Jeremyah Tafao was named to the all-star crew.

The group held its public performance on Wednesday, April 18 at the MHS cafetorium. They also held a silent auction at the event.
