CAMPSEY NEW RHS HEAD COACH/AD

 Jacob Campsey, Rockdale High School defensive coordinator under Jeff Miller for the past six years, has been named to succeed Miller as head football coach/athletic director in the Rockdale ISD.

 School trustees made that decision Thursday afternoon in a called session.

  Campsey, a native of Devine in South Texas and a graduate of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, was selected from a field of 71 applicants. The hopefuls were narrowed to a top 20, then pared to nine for in-person Interviews and then a "final four."

  Miller left earlier this month to accept a position with the  Cypress-Fairbanks ISD.
