Churches, city plan citywide swim evening

Local churches in partnership with the city of Rockdale are sponsoring an evening of fun June 14 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the pool in Veterans Park. 

“This is a great way for families to start the summer,” said Raymon Puente, spokesman for the event that is open to all who wish to come. “We look forward to seeing the community come together and share an evening of fun, food and fellowship.”

There will be no charge for swimming, food and drinks will be provided.
