Active COVID-19 down from 142 to 128

Active cases went down from 142 to 128 and one person was discharged from the hospital, according to County Judge's Steve Young's report Monday.  Fifty-two active PCR cases were taken off the active list and 76 antigen cases were taken off the active list. 

"I hope this is sign that we are starting back down.  However, we tested 71 individuals in Rockdale today with 11 positive results.  In the last 20 days of testing, we have tested 801 individuals in Milam County with 204 positive results with a positivity rate of 25%," he said in his Monday report.

 

Today's testig is in Thorndale at the Thorndale VFD. Milam County residents with COVID symptoms can get a free COVID antigen test. 

 

Milam County is prepared to administer the vaccine to any Milam County resident, free of charge, as soon as it arrives.  On Friday, FDA approved the Pfizer vaccine, but there is no word as to when it will start arriving in Milam County.  The state will provide the vaccine to the county and the county will administer the vaccine to any Milam County resident. 

"We want everyone to get vaccinated to stop the destruction this virus is causing," he said.

  8. Hospitalizations 9 – down 6 (one person on a ventilator)
  9. Deaths 10 – no change
