CASA EFFORTS
(ROCKDALE) The mission to bring court advocates for children in Milam County continues. A steering committee meeting to bring CASA or Court Appointed Special Advocates last week drew 22 people. It is not too late to join in this effort. Currently, there is no one to advocate for children in the CPS/court system. The next meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. October 11 at the First Baptist Church in Rockdale. The next regular meeting for all committees will be 7 p.m. October 25 at Cameron Housing Authority.
