CITY PLEA: "CONSERVE WATER"

  From the City of Rockdale:

"Rockdale is currently experiencing very high water consumption and is nearing Stage 1 of our Drought Contingency Plan (See pg 19 of Water Conservation Plan Link). Water customers are requested to voluntarily practice water conservation and to minimize or discontinue water use for non-essential purposes. Recommended watering schedule is to irrigate landscapes only between the hours of midnight and 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. to midnight on designated watering days.: * Sundays and Thursdays for customers with a street address ending in an even number (0, 2, 4, 6 or 8) * Saturdays and Wednesdays for water customers with a street address ending in an odd number (1, 3, 5, 7 or 9) * As per the Drought Plan, the City of Rockdale will be discontinuing hydrant flushing. http://rockdalecityhall.com/DocumentCenter/View/3909/Rockdale-Water-Cons..."
