Farmers market ‘going to the dogs’

The farmers market at Wolf Park is going to the dogs.

A special event planned for Saturday, June 3, will change Wolf Park to Woof Park with a dog-themed day. Bring your furry friends along and have a good time.

First there will be a dog parade a nd mi xer. Your four-leg ged friends can socialize and make new friends. At 10:30 a.m. there will be a dog parade around the park (leashes required) so bring your lawn chairs or blankets to watch and cheer for your favorites. A dog treat bake-off is also on the menu, so whip up your favorite tasty dog treats and the dogs will be the judges. The winner of the bake-off wins a $20 gift certificate to Tractor Supply.

There will be plenty of arts and crafts for the kids to keep them entertained. Kids will get their creative juices flowing by partaking in the dog-themed coloring and painting.

Of course, all of the regular farmers market vendors will be in place. The market runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
