The first Street Fair in a series by the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce will be held tonight, May 25, from 5 to 9 p.m. on East Bell Avenue between Main and Ackerman. The street will be closed off.
There w ill be live music, dancing, food, beer and wine in addition to shopping over 25 booths for all kinds of arts and crafts.
These Street Fairs will be held on the fourth Thursday of each month over the summer.
A day of fun for the whole family is being sponsored by RIOT at Fair Park on June 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
There will be food, music, bitcoin seminars, kids’ activities and more. Entry fee is $5 which will be donated to charity.
MARC ride to be held
June 10th
The 22nd annual MARC Ride, which funds the MARC, is scheduled for June 10 at The Ranch. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and there will be a live auction after the ride at 4 p.m. with a meal provided for the riders.
There will be awards for the oldest rider, oldest bike, youngest rider and MARC consumers choice.
Stops along with way include Cindy’s Hawg Hangout, Nat’s, Cliff’s Tavern, the VFW hall and back to The Ranch.
Short sleeved t-shirts are available for $20.
