Friday's Juneteenth Parade (above) went off without a hitch and after the parade moved through downtown, it ended up at Sumuel Park where there was music, food and games as well as a water slide to celebrate freedom, community and culture. Parade grand marshal was 106-year-old Gertrude Hardaway (L) and another participant, former Rockdale Elementary School Principal Eldon Ball (R), turned 98 Friday and enjoyed the fun.
