After the arrest last week of Marquise Flowers, a second suspect in the April murder of Jeffrey McKinney Jr., James L. Godfrey IV, 22, Temple turned himself in to the Milam County Sheriff’s Office.

Milam County Sheriff’s Deputy Bret Weir took Godfrey into custody and charged him with engaging in organized criminal activity-murder.

Jeffrey McKinney Jr. was shot in the upper torso at apartments located in the 1700 block of West Cameron Avenue.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting and found McKinney unresponsive. Officers and AMR attempted life-saving measures, but McKinney was pronounced dead an hour after they arrived.

The third suspect, Isaac Jay Carrizales, 17, is still at large and a warrant for his arrest has been issued.

Rockdale Police Chief Jerry Meadors said if anyone has information regarding the whereabouts of Carrizales, they are urged to contact Rockdale Police Detective Sgt. Michael Hubnik at 512-4463436 or Milam County CrimeStoppers at 254-697-8477.
