TOTAL 175 AS ACTIVE CASES SHOW DECLINE

175 CUMULATIVE, 50 CASES NOW ACTIVE

Milam County Judge Steve Young said early Monday morning the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in Milam County increased by 18 over the weekend, going from 157 to 175.

At the same time, he noted the number of active cases declined to 50. At the last report on Friday there were 57 active cases.

Young said some of the cases are from testing done in Rockdale, Milano and Cameron at the beginning of last week. He said due to the time involved in getting results, some of those testing positive have almost completed their quarantine periods.

A total of 393 tests were performed (242 Milam County residents) with 35 positive tests.

Young said as of Monday six Milam residents were in hospitals with the virus and the Milam County Health Department was monitoring 127 individuals.
