The first annual Pigskin and Pearls event will take place the day before the season opener against Teague, on Thursday, Aug. 24, at 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. The event is for all varsity football moms and will cost $20 per person.
Rockdale Head Coach Hunter Hamrick will teach a Football 101 class to go over the basic rules of the game. The players will then explain the positions they play and go over some plays. There will be videos, door prizes, crafts (including decorating noisemakers) and a dinner.
The moms will get to play Kahoot!—a contest to see which mom knows the most official’s signals.
