Jeff King, Clayton Bland, Garrett Barnett and Stephan Ruiz won the grand prize of $500 at the 29th annual Rockdale Noon Lion’s Scholarship Golf Tournament on Saturday.
The four beat out a team of Gerald Martion, Billy Galbreath, Richard Towns and Bill Wadsworth, who won the second place prize of $200.
Third place was Joe Cleveland, Homer Mowdy, Monroe Jungmann and Fran Arndt. The group won $100.
Following the tournament, a helicopter flown by Skip Tacket dropped close to 300 golf balls near the green of the ninth hole.
The ball closest to the hole was one purchased by Caroline Sanders. She won the prize of $500.
The tourney and golf ball drop raised approximately $4,000.
Rockdale Federal Credit Union was the only platinum sponsor.
