Due to inclement weather all around the state, Rockdale’s seven-on-seven squad wasn’t able to play in Needville’s State Qualifier Tournament this past Saturday.
Games have been moved to Thursday w it h pool play beginning at 4 p.m., and the state qualifying round kicking off f at 6:15.
Despite the cancellation, the Rockdale bunch still had a chance to see some action last week. On Thursday, they faced Thorndale at Tiger Stadium where the home team beat their Milam County neighbors 59-12.
If the Blue-and-Gold wins the qualifier, they automatically receive an invite to the Texas State 7-on-7 Tournament at College Station’s Veterans Park and Athletic Complex, taki ng pl ac e June 24-25.
